I was just thinking we could go somewhere together. As a date.
[He thinks about it for a moment, before he smiles up at Kazuma.]
A date sounds fun. [He hadn't been on a date with just Kazuma, which wasn't surprising considering their focus had been on Manabu's comfort. Maybe it was time that they figured themselves out.]
What would you like to do? [Though he has a feeling that his partner wouldn't have an answer for him.]
[He smiles, then stretches his arms before he pushes himself off the couch. He picks the book up and places it on a shelf so he could find it later, and walks up to Kazuma.]
I like that idea. We can take the lantern to Willful Machine. It's right by the canals.
[That grin is infectious, and soon Kazuma's wearing one of his own as he's pulled towards the door.]
So, we see what's new and check the usual haunts we've come to know...[Funny, how easy this was to fall into. It had the odd giddy energy their outings back in university did--nostalgic and something new all at once.]
Warmer weather is just around the corner as well, so we should see some interesting wares come out.
[Something they could and probably should take advantage of. Between the passage of a year and their recent encounters with beasts--some things are starting to become a little threadbare.]
That's true. I'm looking forward to the mild weather - at least I hope it's mild.
[If it was mild at least he could better prepare for the heat that came with the summer months. This last summer was brutal in its own way but he managed to survive.
Ryunosuke continues to hold his hand as he leads him out of their flat, and down the street toward the lantern.]
I hope there are some new food vendors. [Sorry, he's thinking with his stomach right now.] You must have caught me at the right time, I'm actually pretty hungry.
Knowing our luck we'll get a taste of mild, pleasant weather only for it to turn against us. [Ever the positive charmer, this Kazuma.]
I am going to hazard a guess that you were so engrossed in your book that you haven't eaten. [He laughs softly, threading his fingers through Ryunosuke's.]
We'll make sure to stop and try something with the vendors then.

Hopefully.]I was thinking we could go to the canals or the stables. We could take up a boat or carriage--or simply use it as a starting point to go around town.
We did have a habit of coming to our most excellent adventures when we let roads take us where they may...
